What Happened in Mob Psycho 100 Season 2?
Mob and Reigen are back in action as they try to exorcise spirits here and there. Back in school, Kamuro Shinji resigns as Student Council President following the incident with Ritsu and the other students. This resulted in an election where Mob decided to run for President. However, he didn’t win, despite putting in his best efforts. While Shinji was getting re-elected, Mob got a love letter from a girl named Emi. Since then, Mob started going out with Emi, only to find out that it was a dare from her friends. Even so, Mob and Emi became friends after he used his powers to restore Emi’s shredded poem. Meanwhile, Reigen persuaded Mob to help him exorcise an urban legend. They ran into a rival psychic who was eager to get ahead of their client. In the end, Mob is able to exorcise the urban legend and return home. Reigen returned to the office and decided to create a website for his services. Surprisingly, his website became a hit. He got a lot of good jobs, but he also got some bad ones. Over time, Mob contemplated his gift as well as his perspective on life. When a group of college students asked Reigen and Mob to exorcise a friendly family of spirits, Mob was unable to do so. As a result, Reigen decided to harshly end the exorcism against the students. After all, as Mob’s mentor, it was the right thing to do. Moving on, Mob and Reigen accepted a high-end job for a wealthy businessman named Masashi Asagiri. Minori, Masashi’s daughter, has been acting strangely and has been possessed by an evil spirit named Keiji Mogami. Mob and Reigen began their work alongside other renowned psychics such as Banshoumaru Shinra and Kirin Jodo. They were fortunate to be the first to visit Masashi’s daughter after winning the rock, paper, scissors game against the other psychics. Despite Dimple’s warnings about Keiji Mogami, the exorcism goes ahead. Keiji Mogami is a former psychic who has turned evil. Mob decided to use an out-of-body experience to enter Minori’s body in order to chase Mogami out. Mob failed to chase Mogami out of the mental world. Instead, he became trapped inside with no psychic abilities. Worse, Mogami recreated Mob’s life in the mental world, except he has no friends, family, or power. Mob felt as if he had spent six months in the mental world when it was only 30 minutes in the real world. This caused him to forget his true memories and identity. Thanks to Dimple’s efforts, Mob’s memories came back. This allowed Mob to use his powers once again, ultimately blasting the mental world when he reached his ???% state. Back in the real world, Mogami’s spirit was captured by Matsuo in a flask. Mob awoke while Minori apologized for her bad behavior in both worlds. Furthermore, Mob and Reigen’s mentor and student relationship come to a halt when Mob realizes that Reigen was just using him. They went their separate ways and discovered a lot of things about themselves. While Mob spends more time with his family and friends, Reigen is preoccupied with his thriving career. He became so well-known that he earned the moniker “Seasoning City’s bro.” He was also approached about appearing on a late-night show with the renowned psychic Kirin Jodo, who holds a grudge against him. However, Reigen is discovered and humiliated on the TV show. Kirin Jodo falsely accused him of failing to exorcise a child actor. This resulted in a significant setback in Reigen’s career. During a press conference, Reigen revealed his connection to Mob. Instead of responding to the press, Reigen sent a message to Mob, who was standing nearby. To end the debacle, Mob used his powers to assist Reigen once more. In the next few days, Mob participated in the school’s marathon. Despite his efforts, he finished 291st out of 300 competitors. When Mob returned home, he discovered that his house had been burned. He also discovered a dead body in the corner. As a result, Mob’s emotions skyrocketed until he reached his ???% state. In desperation, Mob attacks two Scar members and demands to know what happened. Dimple, on the other hand, tries to calm Mob down as much as he can because he believes the dead bodies in Mob’s house are just dummies. As it turns out, the Claw’s leader intends to launch an all-out assault on the city. He directs Sho, his only son, to eliminate any potential threats to their plan. This explains why Mob’s house was attacked. Before the end of Season 2, Mob defeats Toichiro, the leader of Claw, using 100% of his psychic powers with the help of Reigen and his other friends. Surprisingly, the broccoli seed that Mob kept in his pocket during the battle with Toichiro grew on the battlefield and eventually became the Divine Tree.
