Game of Thrones Season 8 may have had some notable moments but the general consensus declares the final season as a disaster. So what does Paddy Considine have to say about the show’s ending? The House of the Dragon actor told Entertainment Weekly that the disappointment may have had a lot to do with people’s expectations.
“When you live with something for so many years and watch those characters on that adventure, I think people start to write their own endings. I feel like a bit of that probably happened. And I was probably one of them, as well,” Considine said.
It’s a different way to look at it. After all, people started coming up with theories about Game of Thrones when it began to go in its own direction because of the lack of source material.
Although it’s too late for Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin assures fans that A Song of Ice and Fire will take a different direction and hopefully, it will be satisfactory to the fans.
In the meantime, Paddy Considine is set to play a major role in the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon. Considine will portray King Viserys I Targaryen who ruled Westeros 200 years before Daenerys Targaryen’s time.
House of the Dragon will also star Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, and Sonoya Mizuno. The first of many Game of Thrones spin-off shows will premiere on HBO on August 21, 2022.
