In Chainsaw Man Episode 2, Makima feeds Denji and confirms that Pochita is living inside of him. She claims this to be true because she can smell that he has both human and devil scents. Makima then brings Denji to the Tokyo HQ of the Public Safety Devil Hunters and introduces him to Aki Hayakawa, who will be working with Denji for the day. Denji and Aki aren’t happy to be working with each other. When Aki asks what type of man Makima likes, Aki leads him to an alley and beats him up, ordering him to leave if he won’t take the job seriously. Denji retaliates by kicking Aki in the balls.
Manga readers already know about this but the testicular assault is decidedly more brutal in the anime. In addition to that, there was a hilarious bell sound every time Denji landed a blow on his senior’s ballsack. Needless to say, Chainsaw Man fans are feeling Aki’s pain in the second episode.
Although this could have been the end of this partnership. However, Aki and Denji managed to work things out and Denji moves in with Aki. They even welcomed a new member of Tokyo Special Division 4. With that in mind, we can’t wait to see Power working with Aki and Denji in the upcoming episodes. Chainsaw Man Episode 2 is titled Arrival in Tokyo and is now streaming worldwide.
