This upcoming exhibit is entitled “Great Berserk Exhibition-Kentaro Miura 32 Years of Painting-Ginza Edition” and was revealed via the series’ official website and Twitter account. Details were also shared online through PR Times.
The exhibit will be held ahead of the Berserk: The Golden Age Arc Memorial Edition broadcast that is scheduled on October 1, 2022. This is the fourth venue since last year’s Berserk exhibit tour, and it is the first of its kind to showcase handwritten manuscripts and colored original drawings by the series creator Kentaro Miura. Aside from exhibiting works by Miura, the exhibit will also feature a collaboration café at the MG Cafe on the 8th floor of Matsuya Ginza.
The collab café will have a menu that features Berserk-inspired items, including a spicy curry set with a print of Guts, a Guts-inspired black ice cream dessert, a light parfait inspired by Griffith, a coke float with a Beherit, a selection of cocktails, and more. As with other collab cafés, each purchase of a menu item will come with a free coaster. These coasters are available in seven designs, though diners will get a random design with each order. Along with the café menu and coaster, the exhibit will feature Berserk merch, the most eye-catching of which is an NSFW acrylic diorama of Guts and Casca.
The diorama depicts Guts and Casca naked as they appeared during the Eclipse – one of the grimmest and most memorable moments in the manga and the anime series. If this Berserk acrylic merch is a bit too NSFW for your taste, there are a lot of other exclusive merch available during the exhibit. These include art prints, safe-for-work acrylic stands, wall scrolls, a curved brim cap, and a keychain. This upcoming Berserk exhibit in Tokyo will be open from September 21 to October 4, 2022, from 10 AM to 8 PM. It will be held at the Matsuya Ginza 8F Event Square in Tokyo, Japan. More details along with ticketing information are available on the official website.
